For Wesleyan, I copyedited, proofread, and transcribed handwritten musical materials into computerized notation for professional publication; and I copyedited and proofread manuscripts of dissertations, theses, articles and books by foreign graduate students and faculty, checking them for idiomatic English, grammar, and style. I worked as graduate teaching assistant to internationally celebrated musician Anthony Braxton. For Greenwood, my duties include researching for, writing, copyediting and proofreading, and working with editors to format for production my first 500-page academic monograph (The Music of Anthony Braxton) for 1996 publication.

After six-month internship, I was hired by the Hult Center for the Performing Arts (one of the top-ten ranked presenters in the country then) to write promotional and press copy in the Marketing and Programming Division.  For Antioch, I contracted to design a graduate course of study in Arts Administration, a rarity for the time. For both Pacific Rim Players, Inc. (an Oregon nonprofit) and the Tri-Centric Foundation, Inc. (the New York nonprofit of MacArthur Fellow, composer Anthony Braxton), I wrote grant proposals for arts events, generating $100,000+ in grants, in-kind donations, and earned income; and I designed and wrote publicity and promotional materials for the events.
